In a hotel lobby a couple meet to finalise their divorce, both on the verge of a new marriage. As they share sweet memories and dark revelations, the music of their conversation conjures the ghost of the passionate relationship they lost.

Marguerite Duras’ lyrical and poignant study of the damage we inflict on those we love gets its first London revival in two decades. Jeff James (Stinkfoot, One for the Road) directs this Classic for a New Climate, with design by Ultz (Jerusalem).
