Violence and Son at the Royal Court

Liam’s 17 years old, loves Dr Who and has lost his mum.

He’s had to leave his home and move to Wales, to the valleys, to the middle of nowhere, to live with a dad he doesn’t know… whose nickname isn’t ‘Violence’ for nothing.

Welsh playwright Gary Owen makes his Royal Court debut with VIOLENCE AND SON. He is the winner of the Meyer Whitworth, George Devine and Pearson best play awards.

Royal Court Associate Director, Hamish Pirie directs. This will be his third production for the Royal Court after directing WHO CARES and TEH INTERNET IS SERIOUS BUSINESS in 2014.
