Today we’re sitting down with Rob Madge, a former child actor who has appeared in Mary Poppins, Oliver and Les Miserables in the West End to talk about their new show, My Son’s A Queer But What Can You Do?

As queer people who relate massively with Rob’s play, AYT’s Director, Sam and Reviews Editor, Jay jumped at the chance to talk to them and what an open, interesting chat it turns out to be.

They all talk growing up queer and their parents’ roles in that, the importance of putting joyful queer stories on stage, not just ones filled with trauma and much more.

My Son’s a Queer But What Can You Do is on at the Turbine Theatre from 17 June – 3rd July.
