RADA: Youth Company Applications Open
The RADA Youth Company provides access to drama training and performance opportunities for young people aged 16-20 who live in and around London.
Each year, sixteen Company members aged 16 – 20 are selected from a series of short workshop auditions that are held at RADA over a weekend in September. It’s a great opportunity for training at a respected drama school and members often have the chance to speak to RADA teachers and graduates about building theatre careers.
Youth Company members will have the opportunity to learn elements of drama training like improvisation, devising, text work, voice work, movement and stage combat. They will also explore the work of theatre practitioners such as Stanislavsky and Meisner. The Young Company also performs to the public each year.
The Youth Company meets on Saturdays during term time. It costs £170 for the year, which can be paid termly or annually (weekly payments may be made on request).
For more information and to download an application form, visit the RADA website. The deadline is 22 July 2016. If you have any questions you can email Carys on caryswilliams@rada.ac.uk or call 020 7908 479.
