New and emerging playwrights are invited to submit their work to be considered for a place on the Oxford Playhouse Writers on Attachment Programme – Playhouse Playmaker.

Beginning in October 2015, selected writers will be offered six Saturday workshops covering everything from developing an idea to getting it staged. In addition, the chosen young people will receive group and individual mentoring from John Retallack (founder of Company of Angels/ Bristol Old Vic Associate Artist).

Aspiring playwrights applying for this free scheme can be from anywhere in the UK, although it should be noted that the workshops will take place in Oxford. The deadline for script submissions to be considered for a place is Friday 3 July.

Following a sell-out taster session earlier this month, Oxford Playhouse is also offering an extra workshop for anyone considering applying for Playhouse Playmaker. Expert tutors John Retallack and Renata Allen will help participants develop their ideas, providing the skills and confidence to help people prepare submissions to the Playmaker programme.

Try the free open access taster session on Saturday 6 June. Book via the Ticket Office on 01865 305305.

More information on the Playhouse Playmaker scheme and submission guidelines can be found on their website.
