The brilliant International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) will be illuminating Kingston once again this July, highlighting the very best of youth arts – theatre, music, dance, spoken word, creative writing, film, comedy, circus, cabaret, visual arts, workshops and installations – from all over the world.
Launched in 2009, groundbreaking IYAF is now considered a precursor to Edinburgh Fringe and the leading youth arts festival in the UK. It has developed to be one of the cultural calendar’s must-see showcases, internationally, nationally and locally in south west London.
Young People’s Art Projects
Who can apply to be part of IYAF’s fabulous 2016 programme?
Young people (5yrs-26yrs) involved in arts projects as performers, creators and artists, producers and event managers can apply to be part of IYAF 2016. All art forms (theatre, music, dance, film, comedy, circus, cabaret, visual arts, traditional cultural activity and new and emerging work and art forms) are eligible. And works by adults specifically targeted at young audiences are also welcomed for consideration.
In keeping with IYAF’s groundbreaking traditions, the organisers will be looking for originality. Successful applicants can look forward to an amazing gamechanger of being part of the 8th IYAF in 2016, one of the world’s largest and most diverse youth events.
Anyone interested in submitting their project should visit www.iyafestival.org.uk/application-guidelines and submit their application before 31 January. There’s an early bird discount if you do so before 18 December.
