BARBARIANS by Barrie Keeffe
Tooting Arts Club
Until 7 November
Following the success of Sweeny Todd in Harrington’s Pie and Mash Shop, Tooting Arts Club is back!
And this time with a motley crew in tow… Meet Paul, Jan and Louis. It’s 1977, Britain has just emerged from a worldwide recession. It’s the Queen’s silver jubilee year but the boys have little to celebrate. With widespread youth unemployment and little opportunities on the horizon, there is a sense of anarchy in the air…
Set to a soundtrack of The Clash, The Sex Pistols and The Jam, it’s gonna be one hell of a party. Staged at the former Central Saint Martin’s School of Art in Soho, don’t miss this seminal play in the birthplace of UK punk.
