no strings attached is a grant scheme to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants of between £500 and £1000 are available to young people from across the south east region. The grant is for anyone aged between 18 and 25 who hasn’t previously received a grant for the arts. This year, in partnership with Unlimited, Farnham Maltings are also offering a specific no strings attached grant to ensure young disabled artists are supported.

Applicants can apply as an individual or as part of a group. Should you be successful you will also be paired with a professional mentor.

Please find more detailed information here.

If your project is suitable you will be invited to present your idea to a panel of arts professionals and young people on 22 October 2014. Places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis and the deadline for registering your application is 1st October.

To register your interest, talk to us about access and to apply to attend the 2014 panel meeting, contact Julia Clague on or 01252 745471.

Previous no strings attached participants include Bucket Club, who also performed their show Lorraine & Alan as part of AYT’s first INCOMING festival back in May. Lorraine & Alan has recently been shortlisted for the Mobius Ensemble Prize in association with New Diorama Theatre and A Younger Theatre as part of the Peter Brook Awards 2014.
