‘I want shocks! I’ve heard they are fun and a lot of blood rushes to your head.’

Animals a hilariously warped, futuristic fable set in a world where capitalism has conquered and the government has begun generously providing free involuntary euthanasias to the old and infirmed.

Adams’ darkly funny satire is chocked full of crossword puzzles, recliner thieves and large quantities of Class A drugs. The play begs the question: does a human life have any inherent worth? And how can one resist becoming monstrous in a merciless society?
