A Younger Theatre is always looking for writers to contribute to our growing website. All members of the AYT team write on a voluntary basis, including the editorial team. AYT is London-centric, but we’re actively looking for writers beyond London to expand our coverage.

Digital Assistant – May ’13
AYT seeks a Digital Assistant to support the Artistic Director, Managing Editor, and Marketing and Communications Officer in the day-to-day activities of a busy and expanding digital publication. Working to increase and further the understanding of AYT’s audience base and social figures, this internship is suited to a recent graduate who is looking to pursue a career in either digital publishing or arts marketing.
This is a voluntary internship, based within the London offices of AYT.

Young Journalists – April ’13 – August ’13
AYT seeks to build upon our current pool of young journalists. Our Young Journalists scheme is designed to give young people with an active interest in arts journalism the chance to research, conduct interviews and write featured material for the AYT website. Working closely with the Features Editor, you will be assigned tasks for writing, and given the chance to explore your own interests within journalism to be published on AYT.

Bloggers / Guest Blog Posts – Ongoing
AYT seeks both long-term bloggers and writers for one-off opinion pieces. Working with the Commissioning Editor, writers are encouraged to develop a theme through their blogs, acting as opinion pieces and commentary on theatre and the arts. Blogs are designed to encourage discussion for readers.

Reviewers – London and Regional – March ’13 – August ’13
AYT actively seeks young writers to develop their critical skills through attending press nights for shows. The majority of these shows are within London however we are actively looking for reviewers across the UK.
We are currently seeking reviewers to cover the following festivals:
Mayfest, Bristol – 16th – 26th May
