Catherine Kontz (b. 1976) is a London-based composer, originally from Luxembourg. Her works often include elements of theatre and a visual dimension. Recent premieres include Fruitmarket for BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at Tectonics festival, Die Regenmacher for ensemble recherche at the Rainy Days festival and the opera Neige at Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg. Currently, she is working on a new piece for EXAUDI as well as a opera project A Certain Sense of Order in collaboration with tick tock performance shown at Tête-à-Tête festival this summer. Kontz has a doctorate in composition from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she studied with Roger Redgate. www.catherinekontz.com
