Are you aged 16 – 24 years and have an interest in writing? Chester Performs is looking for aspiring writers to join Grosvenor Park Young Company.
The Young Company provides the opportunity for 16-24 year olds from Cheshire and the surrounding area to take part and create new performance work – this could be a song, a short play, a poem… The Young Company is a team of ambitious young theatre makers; from writers, directors and performers to designers, stage managers, choreographers, composers, producers and marketers – everyone required to make and stage a performance.
You need to be interested in writing for the stage. This does not mean you need to have previous experience in this area, purely a desire to explore and develop your performance writing skills – plays, poetry, prose, songs, stories… The 5-10 minute pieces written for the summer project will be performed by other members of Grosvenor Park Young Company in and around the open-air theatre.
