The Gate Theatre (Notting Hill) is seeking volunteers to join their front of house team. We’ve been fans of The Gate Theatre for a while now, their work is always pushing boundaries and offering some excellent examples of European work from writers and directors.

Like any theatre the Gate Theatre’s ushers are there to support the box office and front of house team – to work with audience members to ensure they have a safe and pleasant time at the theatre. We all love a smiling usher, so be sure to brush your teeth and comb your hair before applying.

Volunteer ushers are seated in the auditorium during performances so this is a great opportunity to see the work of the Gate. Ushers are also entitled to two complimentary tickets to each production they work on.

Their next production is YERMA, directed by Gate Artistic Director Natalie Abrahami. The show runs 9 November-17 December, the perfect (if a little depressing) pre-Christmas activity.

Applicants must be 18 or over, and an interest in theatre and experience of customer service is desirable. The role requires work during evenings and weekends.
