The Broadway Youth Theatre (BYT) is looking for new members and will be holding an open audition workshop on Thursday 17th February at 5:30pm

BYT offers a ‘total theatre experience’ giving young people between the ages of 6-21 an opportunity to experience theatre, drama and performance techniques in a theatre rooted in it’s community within Barking, London. BYT will let you build your confidence, make new friends, and more importantly offer you advice in pursuing a career within the arts.

The youth theatre meets each Saturday and Tuesday, working with experienced theatre directors. The current director is the Broadway’s Associate Artist Montserrat Gili, seen recently in the Young, Autistic and Stagestruck documentary on Channel Four.

Performing isn’t the only option available as the BYT are actively seeking aspiring writers, directors or even stage managers who are keen to experience what it is like behind the scenes of a busy working theatre.

There is no need to prepare anything for the auditions, but a good smile and a fun attitude will certainly help!

If you are interested in auditioning please contact Sharon Kanolik, Participation Coordinator on 020 8507 5604 or email Sharon.kanolik@thebroadwaybarking.com.
