YOUNG+FREE tickets to The Donmar Shakespeare Trilogy at King’s Cross

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd | 23 Sep – 17 Dec 2016

This autumn, Phyllida Lloyd will reunite with Harriet Walter and an all-female cast for The Donmar Shakespeare Trilogy, opening on the 23 September and running until 17 December 2016 at a new venue in King’s Cross. To celebrate they’re launching YOUNG+FREE which offers twenty five per cent of the production’s tickets free to those aged twenty five and under!

In 2012, Phyllida Lloyd’s all-female production of Julius Caesar placed the play in a women’s prison. It stunned audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and challenged the idea of ‘who owns Shakespeare’. Two years later Lloyd and Walter reunited for Henry IV, the second instalment in what was then announced as a trilogy of works from these major artists.

The project concludes with The Tempest forming the final part of the trilogy. Breaking free from the Donmar Warehouse, the all-female company will perform in a brand new 420-seat in-the-round temporary theatre right at the heart of King’s Cross, immediately adjacent to King’s Cross station and directly accessible from King’s Boulevard.
