Getting into drama school is no easy business. Thousands of young hopefuls apply every year for several hundred places. How do you stand out from the crowd without having to resort to dying your hair some crazy colour just so they notice you? (By the way: It’s not always a good idea to do this!) Sometimes workshops that prepare you for Drama School auditions come in really handy, so enjoy this offer for Without A Paddle’s workshop.

Save £5 when quoting A Younger Theatre upon booking.

What Without A Paddle have to say about the workshop:

This one-day super intensive workshop will get you geared up for your drama school audition: building your confidence and diminishing your nerves.  We will focus on impro, games, exercises and interview technique as well as thoroughly working your modern and classical pieces (these can be works in progress – they don’t have to be polished).  Try out your stuff in a supportive and nurturing environment, get constructive feedback and redirection, and learn from watching others.  Find immediacy, stillness and variation in your performance, engage the panel, and make brave dynamic choices with your work.

Award winning Without a Paddle Theatre has been coaching actors on drama school entry for years. Previous student successes include LAMDA, Guildhall, East 15 and Drama Studio London.  The workshop is led by Artistic Director of WAP, Anna Jordan, who trained at LAMDA.  Full day –  £55.Only ten actors in the group, so if interested email as soon as those fingers will let you for more details.
