A Younger Theatre is delighted to announce the four winners of the Edinburgh Young Critics Scheme. Supported by IdeasTap, the Edinburgh Young Critics Scheme gives the opportunity for young reviewers to attend the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with free accommodation and travel. The reviewers will also receive professional mentoring from Lyn Gardner of The Guardian and Thom Didbin of The Stage alongside Managing Editor Eleanor Turney and Artistic Director Jake Orr of A Younger Theatre. The winners will also receive payment for writing for IdeasMag alongside their reviewing for A Younger Theatre.

During the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we took eight young people to review the festival in partnership with C venues who provided free accommodation. The Edinburgh Young Critics Scheme is to encourage the development of new arts journalism and reviewing, giving practical experience at the largest arts festival in the world.
