Company of Angels has announced the 10th anniversary of its festival of contemporary European plays, Theatre Café, which will start with a weekend in at York Theatre Royal before travelling to Oslo, Berlin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Berlin. For the first time, the plays written for and about young people by European writers will be followed by six “response” pieces from emerging British playwrights. The weekend will also include debates and panel discussions, and networking meals.

The winner will receive a £20,000 budget for a full production of their chosen text in autumn 2014/spring 2015 at York Theatre Royal Studio.
