The new editor of AYT is Oxford based journalist and editor, Hannah Marsh.

With a wealth of experience in arts feature writing, digital editing on a national newsdesk and strategy work on communications projects, Marsh is coming to AYT with fantastic ideas.

Marsh said: “I’m really looking forward to taking the site forward in a way that builds on what already exists – a vibrant, diverse collection of in-depth features, blogs, news pieces and reviews – and exploring new ideas and channels.

“I’m particularly excited about looking at new ways to engage with different parts of the UK, exploring and giving coverage to talented writers, performers, producers and theatre crafters in different pockets of the country.”

Marsh continued: “At a time when both the arts and the journalism industry feel under immense pressure from cuts and job losses, I’m really proud to be working with a passionate and talented team to open up opportunities to young writers and shine a light on some of the most exciting theatre developments, both in London and across the UK.”

After one and half years in the post I have decided to step down. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and have loved working with the committed team of writers and staff that make the site so wonderful. Jake and I are so excited to have Marsh on board and to see her implement her editorial vision for AYT, and continue to grow the site. Marsh has some fabulous ideas up her sleeves and we can’t wait to see them enacted!
