The Kilburn Passion is back by popular demand following a successful run as part of the Tricycle’s Takeover Festival earlier this year. We’ve teamed up with the Tricycle Theatre to bring you the chance to win two tickets to the opening night on 5 August.

The Kilburn Passion is a new play by Suhayla El-Bushra, written especially for and performed by the Tricycle Young Company.

‘I’ve seen you. Putting up the shutters like you’re the only real person here, everyone else just robots you have to avoid, like in some computer game.’

A bus, a food van, a salon, a clothes shop.

Preoccupied with the daily grind, the residents of Kilburn High Road are busy. Too busy, in fact, to notice each other. But when a stranger arrives, their worlds begin to collide in a way that no one saw coming.

Suhayla El-Bushra is a playwright who used to live in Kilburn. Her plays include: Cuckoo (Unicorn 2014), Pigeons (Royal Court 2013), False Teachers (66 Books, Bush 2012).

“Stunning… a vibrant, kaleidoscopic and gripping narrative drama” – What’s On Stage

“The Young Company should take over more often!” – Exeunt

Wow. Knocked off my seat by talent and verve of @TricycleTheatre#KilburnPassion last night. Huge congrats to @suhaylae & company. Go see!

Moved to tweet by #kilburnpassion@TricycleTheatre Involving and funny. Brilliantly written and performed. Best play I’ve seen in ages
