‘I bet I can guess your type in a second. Pretty face, nice smile, can match her lip gloss to her nail varnish perfectly but ask her how to get to the library and she’ll go blank right?’
Teenagers Demi and Malachi get chatting on the bus. He wants her digits but pedestrians aren’t her type.
Angela, 30, is chasing the spark of new love again but her mum warns her to stop dreaming.
In this funny and moving new play, three generations caught in a cycle of violence are searching for an escape route, a connection and a love that lasts.
Rachel De-lahay recently won the Evening Standard’s Most Promising Playwright Award. Her previous work includes Routes and The Westbridge (Royal Court), which also won the Writers Guild Award for Best Play.
