What do you do when your child is bullied? Talk to the school, the parents, the bullies? What do you do if you don’t know it’s happening and the tormentors are in their hundreds invading your home through your computer? What if one of the instigators is a parent?
Inspired by true events, Crystal Springs follows a suburban mother who becomes obsessed by her daughter’s online social circle and uses it to seek her own personal revenge. Among those drawn into this vortex are a wary neighbour who believes curbing Internet access will keep her own daughter safe, and a young office assistant, whose eagerness to please inadvertently sets into motion a scheme with a horrifying outcome.
A gripping drama about how small everyday mistakes can add up to a tragedy; about cyber bulling and the challenges of parenting in the digital age.
