Alisdair Kitchen is a director, designer and musician. Trained as a pianist at the Royal College of Music, he subsequently studied conducting with David Syrus and Sir Colin Davis, before branching into directing. He founded Euphonia Studio in 2011, and the company has developed acclaimed operatic seasons at the Rye Arts Festival and The Drayton Arms Theatre. In 2017 they will present a season of opera at The Cockpit, Marylebone. Alisdair is also a part-time PhD student at King’s College London, researching connections between Mozart and Shakespeare.
