Posted on 18 May 2011 Written by

Farnham Maltings are launching a new grant scheme called No Strings Attached to help young people make their first piece of theatre. Grants are available between £500 and £1,000 for young people based across the South East region.

No Strings Attached is for young people ages between 18 and 25 who haven’t previously received a ‘grant for the arts’. Applications can be made individually or as a group, but you must live within the following counties: Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Berkshire or Buckinghamshire.

Applicants will have to demonstrate that they have a new idea for a piece of theatre which could include other art forms such as dance, puppetry, music or film. The grant can be used to help pursue a creative idea, or to put on a performance of the work itself.

To Apply:

Register your interests with Fiona Baxter by emailing fiona.baxter@farnhammaltings.com or call 01252 745411.

For further information download the information pack. You will be invited to present your ideas to the grant giving panel which will include a 15 minute presentation of your ideas including a breakdown of how much you are requesting and how the money will be spent. The grant giving panel will next take place in Octover at Farnham Maltings.
